Urban Cowboy Lodge is looking for a Server!The Dining Room at Urban Cowboy is a highlight of the hotel guest experience as well as a favorite spot for all that call our part of the Catskills home. Our goals are to grow our current programs and to develop new ones, all the while staying true to ourselves, loyal to our friends and keeping our hospitality the top priority. The Lodge is set on 68 acres in the Big Indian Wilderness of upstate New York. The Lodge is looking for someone who will not only uphold our exceptional brand of hospitality, but help develop and grow it as a team member and leader. We want to be the best and are looking for just that! OVERVIEW: Servers at Urban Cowboy Lodge will be responsible for serving all of our wonderful guests during AM and PM shifts. You will be asked to maintain company standards in service, dress and culture. Servers will be required to learn wine, cocktail, food preparations and ingredients, recognize allergies, handle feedback, some trouble shooting/problem solve and participate in hotel equivalent roles and duties. REPORTS TO: FOH Manager On Duty WORKS ALONGSIDE: Restaurant & Hotel Staff COMPENSATION: $16/hour, paid bi-weekly (subject to taxes and other withholdings) + Gratuites, Tips and Service Charges Subsidized benefits up to 75% for basic Health, Vision, and Dental Insurance (available 15 days from start date). Additional benefits: 10 days PTO, 5 sick days, 3 Friends & Family discounted rates ($99-$149), and 1 complimentary two-night stay for parents or equivalents (based on availability). Housing/Utilities at no cost is available for 40 hours/week of work at an assigned role or equivalent. OT is available RESPONSIBILITIES: RESTAURANT SERVICE Carry out all service tasks with an attention to detail working in a clean, consistent and efficient manner Maintain a safe and clean environment for guests and team Maintain a reasonable pace of service at all times Serve and clear throughout the entire property To engage with all guests in a timely, professional and friendly manner Work to uphold and enforce all necessary legal statutes at all times To serve safely and appropriately any alcohol by monitoring intake and communicating with staff and management issues or needs Fill in for absent staff as needed, assist with special events as needed. Adhere to grooming and appearance standards consistently. Ability to honor your schedule, show up on time and clock in and out, put in requests for time off with appropriate notice WORK REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS: Minimum of 40 hours per week of onsite work to qualify for housing; other hours may vary Availability during weekends, nights, and holidays is essential for restaurant needs. Ability to work in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions. Physical demands include standing for long periods, walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and light to medium lifting/carrying. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, ensuring high standards of service in both event coordination and restaurant management. Ability and willingness to cross train in the hotel to ensure coverage and cohesion across all areas of the property Strong Wine, Cocktail, Food Preparations and Ingredients knowledge Ability to communicate effectively guest needs, wants and/or allergies or aversions DISCLAIMER: This job description outlines the primary responsibilities and expectations for the Restaurant Manager role but is not exhaustive.
